How to Solve No Change After Updating the WP Theme
I had a funny experience with the Wordpress (WP) theme. After I made some changes to the WP theme on my local server, I exported it. Then, I updated the WP theme on the server using the theme. However, I didn’t see any change in the display on the website. I thought it was because of the plugin. So, I deactivated a suspect plugin. Still no change.
I have tried to clean both the browser cache and the server cache. Still, it did not work. Moreover, I asked for advice to the technical support officer of the server company because I thought it was due to the server problem. I think it’s funny. However, I didn’t get a satisfied answer. I was confused.
Later, I knew the answer. I want to share how to solve the problem. The way is to do “clear customization”. But, how? Below is the way.
- Go to the menu Appearance > Editor.
- If you want to change the template, choose Template menu. If you want to change template parts, choose Patterns. In this example, I select template parts.
- Click “Manage all template parts”. Then, click the vertical tree dots, and then click clear customization.
